A Look at the World Youth Championships

In Montesilvano, Italy, from June 14-27, participants from all over the world competed on an international stage against fellow top players in their age group in the FIDE World Youth Championships. In addition to the main event, the tournament also featured puzzle solving competitions and a blitz tournament, along with other engaging activities. The tournament lasted 11 rounds, with one game played per day and a break in between the middle of the tournament. Split into six sections varied by age and Girls/Open, players competed against titled opponents with numerous accolades, representing their country and hoping to achieve a medal and the World Youth Champion title.
