At Chess Insider, we are passionate about chess and fostering a community of enthusiasts. Our platform was born out of a desire to share our knowledge and experiences with others, and to create a space where like-minded individuals can come together and engage with each other. Our articles cover a wide range of topics, from tips and tutorials to in-depth analyses of upcoming events. Ella Guo
Co-Founder
Ella is a current sophomore in high school with a FIDE rating of 1712. She discovered her passion for the game at the age of 7 and has been competing in tournaments across the globe ever since. Ella also hopes to combine her love of chess with journalism and write interesting articles as well as take captivating photos.
CM Ethan Guo
Co-Founder
Ethan is a fifth grader and started playing chess at the young age of 5. He has worked hard to become a CM (Candidate Master) and is one of the top players in his age group, with a FIDE rating of 2136. His dedication earned him a silver medal at the 2023 Cadet Chess Championship, and he continues to compete in various tournaments. In addition to chess, Ethan also enjoys playing basketball.
